We teamed with Larry Abel of AEG, one of the leading sports and entertainer presenters in the world, and Lakers’ forward Tarik Black, to present a private screening for our BOSS™ student-athletes of the movie about an American hero who transcended and race…Jesse Owens, the African American sprinter who made history when he won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics.

Based on Owens’ incredible life story, “Race” is an enthralling film about courage, determination, tolerance, and friendship, and an inspiring drama about one man’s fight to become an Olympic legend.  A man whose quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy.

Former NFL client and Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders great Willie Gault, an Olympic sprinter and hurdler in his own right, joined a host of his talented track & field friends for the private screening and a pre-event roundtable discussion including gold medalist and former Rams wide receiver Ron Brown; 400 meter world record holder John Smith; world class 100-meter female sprinter English Gardner; 200/400 meter gold medalist Gil Roberts, former Oregon All-American sprinter Mandy White, and 3x Olympic medalist, Carmelita Jeter, who has run the second fastest time in history in the 100 meters behind Florence “Flo Jo” Griffin.

We engage, expose and empower.
